Here I was working with a medium format digital camera, a P25. It was a different feel working with one of those versus a DSLR, it really had some bulk to it. This is along the lines of the fashion thoughts I've been working on. This photo shoot was mostly an experiment working with the camera.
Navah is both an amazing Photographer (http://www.modelmayhem.com/614261) as well as Model (http://www.modelmayhem.com/526486)

Kendra Dennard Dancing
I just saw Kendra Dennard in Pittsburgh the other day which reminded me of this shoot I had shot with her. The other day she had just gotten back from NYC, dancing with August Wilson Center Dance Ensemble on Summerstage. It was said that they had gotten a lot of positive feedback while there.
Kendra Dennard is an alum of Point Park University.

Dance Pillow Project - July Second Saturday
I photographed The Pillow Project at The Space Upstairs (right above Construction Junction in Point Breeze, Pittsburgh, PA). They had their July Second Saturday "The Concept Album"
Check out The Pillow Project's Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Pillow-Project/88574885865)
The second part called "Luminography" was created by Mike Cooper. He used just a video camera and projector which created an infinite mirror like effect with some delay in it, so it created an after blur of Taylor Knight.

Fire Spinning in Pittsburgh
As all good stories go one thing leads to another and you end up on top of a mountain watching the sunset with a bonfire and a couple of people starting to do some fire spinning. And of course all I had was my Point and Shoot.
The interesting thing here was that one of the guys who was spinning fire, I had not seen since I met him last August on top of a hill in Frick park with a couple of friends. At that time he had just been given a cursed bayonet from a guy in a coffee shop. The bayonet was used by a soldier to kill himself. He had said that he could feel the weight and ache in is back just from carrying it. He was working on solutions to dispose of it, such as putting it in a box filled with salt and burying it.
That night he also allowed my friends and I to pull cards, and told us our fortunes based on these. Just as he had appeared in the darkness he had disappeared just as the other night, only this time he was spinning fire.
He updated me on the bayonet and told me that it had been cleansed. He now works in the South Side teaching kids superpowers (gymnastics etc.)
You might be able to find him and many more awesome people at The Peaceful Gathering of Hands Pittsburgh events.

Fashion Series_Amanda Shaw_Donovan Wilburn
This shoot is part of my fashion series.
Donavan Wilburn played a major role in arranging this shoot, and he was also the clothing stylist.
Model: Amanda Shaw
During this shoot, it was raining off an on, as well as it being cold outside. Amanda was a real trooper in the shoot, playing it cool when it started raining on us. I even ended up using the photo umbrella as an actual umbrella. I'm really not sure of the protocol on doing that, but my model was shivering.
We shot this in Downtown Pittsburgh.
